Effective date: October 31, 2026
OnPoint 4 Gamers covers Xbox and the wider gaming world with news, reviews, previews, impressions and shows. We play the games and tell you the truth. Here is how we work.
News standards
- Fast, but right. We move quick on news, and we check it against official sources first: Xbox Wire, publisher and studio posts, official accounts and on the record statements.
- We link our sources. If another outlet broke a story, we credit and link them.
- We give our own take. Opinion and analysis are clearly written as our view, separate from the facts.
- Headlines match the story. No bait.
- Breaking stories are labeled BREAKING and get updated as more comes in, with an update note.
Rumors and leaks
Rumors are labeled as rumors, in the headline or the first line. We say where the rumor came from, how solid the source has been before, and what has or has not been confirmed. If a rumor turns out true or false, we update the post and say so.
Corrections
When we get a fact wrong, we fix it fast. Fixes to facts get a note at the bottom of the post saying what changed and when. Small typo fixes do not get a note. Spot an error? Tell us on our Contact page: https://onpoint4gamers.com/contact/.
Independence
Nobody pays for coverage. Money, gifts, free codes and ads never change a score or a verdict. Sponsored content is labeled “Sponsored” at the top, names the sponsor, never gets a score or verdict tag, and the sponsor never approves our opinions before they go up. Advertisers have no say in what we write.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links on our site and videos are affiliate links, like Amazon Associates and the Epic Games Support-A-Creator code ONPOINT4GAMERS. If you buy through them, we may earn a small cut at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Affiliate deals never change what we say about a game. Posts with affiliate links say so near the top, and our “Where to buy” boxes link every version we can find, not just one store.
Reviews and scoring
- Every review says the platform we played on, hours played, and whether we bought the game or got a code from the publisher.
- We review once we have played enough to stand behind a final verdict, usually most of the main content.
- Scores run 1 to 10 in half points. We look at Graphics, Story, Sound, Gameplay and Fun Factor, but the final score is our honest call on the whole game, not a math average.
- Only reviews get a number. Previews (game not out yet) and Impressions (game is out, but not the full review) get a tag instead.
- Each game gets one review score, and once published it stays. A big patch can earn an update or a new take, but the original score stands.

We use official art and screenshots from publishers and platform holders, credited where needed, for news and commentary.
