The City Life update for Forza Horizon 6 is out, and it comes with a tribute to Xbox’s 25th year. The download went live November 2 at 6:00 PM UTC (1:00 PM ET) on Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app on PC and Steam, and the City Life Festival Playlist started November 5 at 2:30 PM UTC (9:30 AM ET), per Playground Games on Forza.net.

The Halo and Xbox stuff

  • Halo and Xbox 25th anniversary livery for the 2025 GR GT Prototype, “to be sent to all players via Message Center.”
  • The Master Chief Outfit, unlockable in the Week 2 Photo Challenge of the Festival Playlist.
  • Halo Shield Recharge car horn, earned by finding 15 Gashapon Machine collectibles at Daikoku in Week 2.
  • Pure Xbox noted on November 6 that the GR GT Prototype livery and Master Chief outfit had not shown up yet for them, so expect those to arrive over the next days.

The IKEA Prop Pack

Playground says custom garage builders get the IKEA Prop Pack with 35 props to celebrate the Xbox and IKEA gaming-inspired collection. It includes controller display boxes, a D-Pad controller platter and cushion, thumb stick stools, a lounge chair, TV stands, VARMBLIXT lamps in five colors, plus classics like the BILLY bookcase, KALLAX shelving, LACK coffee tables and the FRAKTA carrier bag.

Racing content

  • Two new permanent race routes in Tokyo City: Edo Circuit Road Race and Shuto Charge Street Race.
  • New-to-Horizon cars: 2016 Honda S660 Alpha (earn 60 PTS, Nov 5 to Dec 3), 2025 Citroën Ami (Nov 5 to Nov 12) and 1987 Fiat Panda (Nov 19 to Nov 26).
  • Returning cars: 2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde (Nov 12 to Nov 19) and 1966 Hillman Imp (Nov 26 to Dec 3).
  • Car Pass: 2025 Ford Mustang GTD (Nov 5), 2025 Volkswagen Electric Buzz (Nov 12), 1983 Nissan 240RS (Nov 19), 2025 Porsche Macan GTS (Nov 26).
  • Easier unlocks: the Festival Playlist PTS needed to unlock new cars has been reduced, “based on community feedback.”
  • Garage and Autoshow filter that shows Festival Playlist restrictions, and solo Seasonal Championships now use your chosen difficulty.

Fine print

Playground confirmed a complete wipe of the PR Stunts Leaderboards (Danger Signs, Drift Zones, Speed Zones, Trailblazers, Speed Traps) because the update fixes glitches that allowed unrealistic scores. Collection Journal items already earned for PR Stunts stay unlocked. Up next: the Horizon Holidays in December, and the first Forza Horizon 6 expansion on January 21.

OnPoint’s take: Master Chief in Horizon Japan for Xbox’s 25th is exactly the kind of fan service we want. Free Halo content in one of the best-looking racers on the platform, plus an IKEA garage that lets you decorate like a true Xbox fan, shows Playground still cares about the details. The leaderboard wipe stings for legit stunt players, but it is the right call to give everyone a clean board. Go find those Gashapon machines.
