Windows Central's Jez Corden just shared animations for an LED panel on the unannounced Xbox Elite Controller Series 3 and says a reveal "has to be imminent."
Jez Corden of Windows Central, one of the most plugged-in Xbox reporters out there, just posted a video on X showing what he says are animations for the LED panel on the upcoming Xbox Elite Controller Series 3. “REVEAL has to be imminent!” he wrote. Microsoft has not announced the controller.
Corden also pointed back to a purported spec sheet he covered on October 6. That leak, scraped from Xbox Design Lab storefront data and first shared on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, lists Hall effect and TMR thumbstick options, “advanced haptics,” impulse triggers, a dedicated audio scroll wheel, silent stick options, multiple paddle and D-pad designs, and four SKUs split between haptic and non-haptic versions. Corden said at the time he could not verify the sources and no price was listed. None of this is confirmed by Microsoft.
OnPoint’s take: We buy it. The controller already leaked in full over the summer, it showed up in Design Lab data, and now we’re seeing the LED panel in action. That’s not smoke anymore, that’s the fire. TMR anti-drift sticks alone would be a W for every Elite owner who has fought stick drift on the Series 2. The only question left is price, and if Xbox wants this under trees this Christmas, the reveal can’t wait much longer.
