GTA 6 Cars Look So Real West Coast Customs Built Them IRL

Breaking

Rockstar had West Coast Customs recreate six GTA 6 rides in the real world. Hypebeast posted exclusive in-game screenshots next to those builds, and the side-by-sides make it hard to tell which frame is which. That is still photo proof, not Series X runtime footage. Xbox DOWNLOAD / preload opens at 7 PM ET Monday, November 9 (November 10 preload date per Rockstar). Play still starts November 19 on Xbox Series X|S.

Thirteen days out from launch, Rockstar just made the car culture pitch hard to ignore. Per Hypebeast, the Los Angeles shop West Coast Customs was brought in to recreate real-life versions of six Grand Theft Auto VI cars. Fresh exclusive in-game screenshots sit next to those builds. At a glance, Hypebeast’s package and the Hypedrive side-by-sides make it difficult to tell which frame is the game and which is the real car.

DiscussingFilm shared a first-look pack of new in-game car models. Insider Gaming and RockstarINTEL rounded up the Hypedrive / Hypebeast compares. Tom Henderson amplified the Insider Gaming write-up. These are stills and IRL photo compares, not confirmed Series X gameplay footage or a locked customization menu dump.

The key facts

  • Rockstar brought in West Coast Customs to recreate six GTA 6 vehicles in the real world, per Hypebeast. RockstarINTEL also describes the shop as contracted by Rockstar for the builds.
  • New exclusive in-game screenshots are being shown next to those IRL builds for a direct compare (Hypebeast gallery; Hypedrive side-by-sides).
  • Six cars called out across Hypebeast, Insider Gaming and RockstarINTEL: Pegassi Tempesta (Vice Beach Police), Grotti Cheetah, Progen Emerus, Invetero Coquette, Albany Manana, Albany Buccaneer.
  • GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on Xbox Series X|S.
  • Xbox DOWNLOAD / preload head start: 7 PM ET Monday, November 9 (Rockstar’s November 10 preload date / 12 AM GMT). Play still starts November 19 for everyone. Full preload details are in our Xbox-first preload story.

What you need to know

The six cars in the compare

Per RockstarINTEL’s rundown of the Hypedrive drops and Hypebeast’s gallery, the six vehicles getting the IRL treatment (and matching in-game shots) are:

  • Pegassi Tempesta in Vice Beach Police Department livery
  • Grotti Cheetah (classic mid-engine supercar, “Vice City fade” paint on the WCC build)
  • Progen Emerus (track aero, candy orange WCC build)
  • Invetero Coquette (“Yeti Camo” flamingo pink and purple in-game look)
  • Albany Manana (donk-style, large-flake Vice City blue)
  • Albany Buccaneer (1960s lowrider, candy apple green flake, gold multi-spoke rims)

These are familiar Rockstar nameplates in custom fits and colorways. Insider Gaming notes they are not necessarily brand-new models to the franchise, but the screenshots show setups and paint we have not seen locked like this before.

Why the side-by-sides hit so hard

Hypebeast’s write-up walks each WCC build with IRL figure notes (engines, paint, interiors). The point of the package is not a new trailer. It is a fidelity flex in still form: paint flake, suspension stance, rim design, cabin trim, even police tech in the Tempesta cockpit. When a shop famous for wild custom cars builds the real thing and the in-game shot sits next to it looking nearly identical, that is a strong car-detail statement. It is not, by itself, proof of Series X frame pacing, full runtime lighting, or every customization option players will get on November 19.

How this fits the final stretch

Rockstar already refreshed its official screenshot gallery earlier this week (dozens of new Leonida / Jason and Lucia stills). Today’s drop is a different beat: car culture, vehicle detail, and a real-world shop putting metal next to pixels. For Xbox fans sitting on a pre-order, the practical calendar stays the same. Xbox DOWNLOAD opens 7 PM ET Monday, November 9 (November 10 preload date). The game unlocks November 19. Nobody plays early off the download.

OnPoint’s take: This is the kind of insane vehicle detail that makes Series X owners grin. If you are going for car culture in Vice City, you go all in, and Rockstar just put West Coast Customs metal next to the pixels to prove the point. Treat the compares as still proof, not a full gameplay capture. Xbox DOWNLOAD hits 7 PM ET November 9. Keep the drive clear, keep the hype honest, and wait for November 19 to see how these rides feel in motion.
