A "PlayStation Exclusive" badge now sits on official PlayStation.com pages for Ghost of Yotei and Until Dawn 2. It is the latest public sign of Sony's pullback from bringing its big single-player games to PC, though Sony has not announced a formal policy.

Sony is putting “PlayStation Exclusive” on the label. A “PlayStation Exclusive” badge is now showing on official PlayStation.com pages for Ghost of Yotei and Until Dawn 2, spotted Saturday morning, November 7, by PlayStation tracker Radec (@realradec) and reported by Push Square.

What showed up

  • The badge: Radec posted at 9:49 AM ET: “A brand new ‘PlayStation Exclusive’ tag is now appearing on the store page for games like Until Dawn 2 and Ghost of Yotei.” His screenshots show a blue PlayStation badge reading “PlayStation® Exclusive*” on both pages.
  • What we checked: Sony’s US Ghost of Yotei page shows the text “PlayStation® Exclusive*” when we fetched it. On the Until Dawn 2 page, the badge appears in Radec’s screenshot, but it did not come through in our text fetch, likely because it is an image. We could not confirm which regions show it.
  • The asterisk: the badge carries an asterisk. We did not find a footnote on the page explaining it, and Sony has not said what it refers to.

The games wearing it

Ghost of Yotei – Sucker Punch’s follow-up to Ghost of Tsushima, which did come to PC. – Sony’s own FAQ answers “Will Ghost of Yōtei be on PC?” with: it “launches exclusively on PlayStation 5.” That describes the launch, not a permanent promise.

Until Dawn 2 – Developer: Firesprite (Liverpool, UK), a PlayStation Studios team. – Release: January 28, 2027, on PS5, with PS5 Pro Enhanced support. – Single-player only, per Sony’s FAQ. The FAQ’s line “Until Dawn 2 is exclusive to PlayStation 5 consoles” answers whether it is on PS4. It does not address PC.

A badge by itself does not prove either game will never come to PC.

How Sony got here

  • March 2026: Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reported that Sony canceled PC plans for Ghost of Yotei and Saros. Per Ars Technica, his sources said some inside Sony worried PC releases could hurt PS5 sales, and cautioned the strategy could change again.
  • May 2026: Hermen Hulst is said to have told PlayStation staff that single-player titles such as Ghost of Yotei, Saros and Marvel’s Wolverine would remain console exclusives, per VGC, citing Bloomberg.
  • June 2026: PlayStation CEO Hideaki Nishino told Famitsu, in a machine translation reported by GamesRadar+, that “for single-player games developed in-house, we will further refine the value of the gaming experience that PlayStation can offer.” He also said, “If releasing a title on PC would maximize the gaming experience, we’ll continue to consider that option.”
  • Also June 2026: Sony’s annual report to the SEC dropped the previous year’s line that “Sony plans to continue its efforts to deploy its first-party titles to multiple platforms such as PC,” per VGC.
  • Now: Push Square says Sony made “an internal decision to focus solely on exclusivity” and is “slowly beginning to promote that again.” It also says PC sales of Sony’s first-party games “were allegedly poor.” Sony has not published those numbers or confirmed either point.

What is still coming to PC from Sony

Per Push Square, Sony has said it will keep releasing select multiplayer and live service games on PC, such as Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Nishino also said live service games releasing on PS5 and PC remains the standard.

OnPoint’s take: Sony spent years teaching PC players to wait a year or two for its big games to hit Steam. Now it is putting a badge on the page that says, in effect, not this time. That is Sony’s call to make, and it is a fair business move to sell consoles, but it stings for PC players who bought in. On the other side, Asha Sharma has said Xbox’s next console, Project Helix, “will lead in performance and play your Xbox and PC games.” That is a promise for hardware that is not out yet, not a shipped feature. Still, the contrast in direction is hard to miss.
