Starting in November, eligible T-Mobile customers on the new T-Mix plans can pick Game Pass Ultimate or Premium as part of their wireless plan, the first Game Pass offer through a U.S. wireless plan.
Xbox Game Pass just landed on one of the biggest wireless carriers in the country.
T-Mobile announced T-Mix today, a new lineup of plans that lets U.S. customers choose which benefits come with their wireless plan. Per Xbox Wire, Game Pass is one of those choices. Beginning in November, eligible T-Mix customers can pick Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass Premium.
Xbox says Game Pass has never been offered through a U.S. wireless plan before. Members get the Game Pass library on devices they already own, including Xbox consoles, smart TVs and PCs.
Full eligibility details, including which T-Mix plans qualify, are in T-Mobile’s announcement, linked from the Xbox Wire post.
This is a gigantic W for Xbox. Xbox has been saying for a while now that you don’t need to buy a console to play, and this puts Game Pass in front of millions of people who pay a phone bill every month and may never have walked into a GameStop. Somebody picks Game Pass because it’s on their plan, fires it up on the TV, and boom, that’s a new Xbox player. That’s how you grow. Game Pass has always been the best value in gaming, and now it’s showing up right on people’s phone bills. Let me know in the comments: would you pick Game Pass on your plan?
